In this Kaliyuga, Shri Chamundeshwari amma has chosen to reside in Shri Kshetra Gowdagere for the improvement of humanity. The sacred place has witnessed several incredible miracles since she has lived here, and we devotees are fortunate to witness these magnificent miracles taking place here.
The main reason for the events that have occurred in this holy site is due to all of the successful advancements and events that have occurred in this sacred place in a short period. It was only 12 years ago that Amma was worshipped in a little hut. However, the region has evolved so successfully that on 20.06.2008, a magnificent temple and a statue of roughly two and a half feet of Amma with all ornaments, sitting on a lion with 8 armed statue embellishments were established. Before the statue was installed there was a small photo of her with 2 and a half inches of the small statue being worshipped. Amma lived in this small community, and as she promised, she has been improving it and witnessing numerous miracles.
Many media outlets, including TV9, Samaya News, Sun TV, Gemini, Kasturi, and Suvarna News, have repeatedly aired Amma’s popularity and stories.
The temple’s foundation was laid on February 16, 2011, with a guddali puja. Despite all obstacles and challenges, the temple was completed ahead of schedule. However, because the date had already been determined by Ammas grace, the temple was inaugurated in the year 2013 from 01.02.2013 to 03.02.2013 with all the celebrations and 10,008 kalasa installations.
Shri Chamundeshwari Amma‘s two eyes
As we have all witnessed, Sri Kshetra Chamundeshwari amma’s two eyes are the deacon Shri. B. Mallesh and Kshetra’s caretaker Shri. Basappa. The majority of the time, Amma speaks through Shri Mallesh by residing in his body, however, during any temple procession, Amma is observed speaking through Shri Basappa. It has been discovered that Amma does not exist in two bodies at the same time. Amma will choose to reside in any one of the bodies for the welfare of her devotees based on the circumstances and the need. As a result, both Shri. Basappa and Shri. Mallesh is referred to as the temple’s important part. They are not just Amma’s representatives, but also a part of this temple. The road they tread on is considered to be filled with ammas blessings.
Amma’s blessing to her devotees
Amma always helps, embraces, and blesses her devotees who come to her with difficulties. However, due to a variety of factors and situations, not all of her devotees can visit her. At such times, Amma always assists thousands of her devotees by appearing in their dreams in one of her three forms.
Her initial form is as a 7-year-old little girl, in which she appears and blesses her devotee who prays and worships her with love and devotion.
Her second form is in the form of her son, the deacon Shri Mallesh, and she blesses her followers in this form in the dreams of those who have prayed to her and begged for her assistance in resolving their difficulties. Amma speaks to the devotees and blesses them with her aura and presence through Shri Mallesh. She often uses this form to remind her worshippers of their forgotten pledges to God.
The third form of the Goddess is through Basavanna; it is seen that if a devotee touches Basavanna’s feet and promises to never consume alcohol again, and if he or she continues to do so, Amma will appear in their dreams as Basavanna, reminding them of their broken commitment with her weapon. It has also been noted that those people who are alcoholics struggle financially and have a variety of health problems. To alleviate their suffering, the devotee should return to the temple and seek forgiveness from Amma and Basavanna.
